Kindergarten Teacher's Workshop at Salihat School, Hoode, Udupi on 29-Aug-2023

The Muslim Educational Institution Federation (MEIF) of D.K. and Udupi Districts, in collaboration with Akshara House of Children at Yenepoya School, Mangaluru, orchestrated a transformative workshop tailored for kindergarten teachers. This event unfolded on the 29th of August 2023, within the esteemed confines of the Salihath School Auditorium in Hoode, Udupi District.

The inaugural session was gracefully inaugurated by the distinguished presence of Dr. Abdul Ajees Abdul Salam, a luminary from the Department of Atomic and Molecular Physics, Manipal Academy of Higher Education. His insightful address underscored the pivotal role that teachers play in sculpting the malleable minds of the young generation into exemplary citizens of India. Dr. Salam eloquently highlighted the evolving landscape of education in the age of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the necessity for teachers to continuously refine their skill set. By harnessing the power of knowledge, educators are empowered to be guiding lights for students who grapple with challenges, ultimately steering them towards a brighter future.

Drawing a poignant analogy, he likened teachers to nurturing gardeners. Their responsibility extends beyond mere academic instruction, encompassing the delicate nurturing of creativity, critical thinking, effective communication, collaborative spirit, and strong character within their pupils. This holistic approach not only shapes their prospects in a swiftly changing world but also contributes to their moral and ethical growth.

In the midst of preparing young minds for the demands of tomorrow, Dr. Salam reminded the audience that educators are equally tasked with ensuring that students relish the present moment. Teachers, in their mentorship role, serve as conduits for discovering and fostering individual talents. This dual mission of nurturing latent abilities while fostering an appreciation for the present moment instills a well-rounded sense of purpose within both teachers and students.

Adding to the dignified presence, Mr. Abdul Khader, Treasurer of Salihath Educational Institutions, Udupi, graced the occasion as a chief guest. Accompanying him were two distinguished individuals who played pivotal roles in the success of the event: Mr. Sabih Ahmed Kazi, Vice President of MEIF's Udupi zone, and Mr. Moosabba P. Beary, President of MEIF D.K. & Udupi District.

The event served as a convergence point for approximately 100 educators from diverse educational institutions across Udupi, Kundapura, Byndoor, Kapu, Brahmavara, and Karkala taluks. Their enthusiastic participation bore testament to the workshop's resounding success in enriching their teaching methodologies and expanding their horizons. In conclusion, the kindergarten teacher's workshop organized by MEIF D.K. & Udupi Districts, in collaboration with Akshara House of Children, emanated as an embodiment of educational commitment and progress. Dr. Salam's illuminating insights and the collective engagement of dedicated educators formed an indelible mark on the path towards fostering an enlightened and empowered generation.
